Shahril bags third row start at MotorLand Aragon

08 October 2022

The Malaysian will launch from P8 on Sunday with Junior Talent Team teammate Buasri not
far behind

Saturday’s predicted rain was quickly forgotten as the sun shone at MotorLand Aragon for qualifying day in the FIM Finetwork JuniorGP™ World Championship, and leading the Junior Talent Team charge will be Danial Shahril thanks to his second best qualifying of the season in P8. The Malaysian star is continuing to show good progress and speed as the season rolls into the penultimate round, with Shahril hoping he can – at least – stay in the top 10 tomorrow.

2022 race winner Tatchakorn Buasri crashed unhurt in QP2 which hampered his day slightly, but the Thai rider will be hoping he can latch onto the lead group in tomorrow’s race from P12 on the grid.

One row further back and returning to action this weekend is Eddie O’Shea. The Brit is struggling with a groin injury he picked up in training, which is unfortunately restricting his performance in Aragon. Despite this, O’Shea has good speed and will hope the adrenaline will be able to land him in the points.

Arbi Aditama will be starting from the front of Row 5 in 16th. The Indonesian, building on the knowledge he learned from competing in the Red Bull Rookies Cup a month earlier in Aragon, has managed to equal his best qualifying of the season. Aditama has had two points scoring rides in as many races and he’ll be hoping to continue that form with another strong showing in Sunday’s race.

The JuniorGP™ race gets underway tomorrow at 13:00 (GMT+2) where the Junior Talent Team will be aiming high in Aragon!
