15 July 2023

Danial Shahril will lead the way for the Junior Talent Team as the 20-year-old is set to start the fifth round of the 2023 Finetwork FIM JuniorGP World Championship from 10th place on the grid. With soaring track temperatures, the Malaysian could not match his practice time and dip into the 1:49s but was the fastest rider within the 1:50 bracket with a positive 1:50.047.

Eddie O’Shea sat comfortably in 11th spot just behind his Junior Talent Team teammate as the session drew to a close, but a flying lap from Adrian Cruces bumped the Brit down to 12th place on the grid in Barcelona.

Arbi Aditana did well to bag a top 16 position in the heat. The Indonesian has shown good pace throughout practice and will be eyeing up a return to the top 10 following a challenging round in Portugal.

Fresh from a stunning podium performance in Portimao, Tatchakorn Buasri found himself in Qualifying 1 with work to do to bag a Q2 spot. The Thai rider finished 2nd in Q1 to bag himself a Q2 position and rounded the session in P18.

The focus now shifts to race day for the JTT riders as they face two 15-lap races at the Circuit de Barcelona Catalunya. The first race of the day for the FIM Junior GP will kick off at 11:00 (GMT +2) with race 2 at 14:00 on Sunday.
