New Challenge awaits Asia Talent Team in Navarra

01 October 2015

The Asia Talent Team prepares to compete in round six of the FIM CEV Repsol Moto3™ Junior World Championship at the Circuit de Navarra.

A month after the last round at Albacete where the three Asia Talent Team riders managed to score points in the same race for the first time this season, Kaito Toba, Yuta Date and Adam Norrodin are ready for the sixth round of the Moto3™ Junior World Championship.

The Circuit de Navarra is located 60km from the town of Pamplona, 29km from Logroño and was built back in 2010. It has a number of different layout options and in the case of the FIM CEV Repsol they will use the 3.993km circuit, which features nine right-handed turns and six left. Like all of the tracks in the championship, Navarra will be a brand new challenge for the Asia Talent Team riders and they will hope to make the most of Friday’s two practice sessions to get acquainted with it on their Honda NSF250R’s.

After the first five rounds (Portimao, Le Mans, Catalunya, Aragon and Albacete) Kaito Toba occupies 14th in the overall standings with 19 points, while Date is 17th (16 points) and Norrodin 27th (3 points).

The aim for the team in Navarra is to continue with the progress they have made in recent races and to get as close as possible to the leading group. Not an easy task with a grid composed of 27 riders, some of whom have experience of riding in the World Championships.

The schedule for Navarra includes the two 40-minute practice sessions on Friday and the two 40-minute qualifying sessions on Saturday (10:50 and 14:20). Sundays race, which consists of 17 laps, is scheduled for 14:00 local time.
