Junior Talent Team rise to Round 2 challenge as Mitani makes headway in JuniorGP™ while Ramadhipa excels in ETC
Jerez saw progress for Junior Talent Team (JTT) under the searing Andalusian sun at the historic Circuito de Jerez-Angel Nieto in Round 2 of the FIM JuniorGP™ World Championship, both in JuniorGP™ and the European Talent Cup (ETC).
Sunday’s proceedings got underway with Race 1 in JuniorGP™ delivering a thrilling encounter in sweltering heat, Zen Mitani was the fastest of the JTT riders, securing crucial points by crossing the finish line in P14. Kiattisak Singhapong narrowly missed out in P17, while Veda Pratama struggled to impose his precocious talent on events, finishing in P21. Lucas Brown saw the chequered flag in P27.
Mitani continued to thrive in JuniorGP™ Race 2, securing P11 with a mature ride. Meanwhile, Singhapong, Pratama and Brown did well to finish in the same positions as in the previous race (P17, P21, P27) as conditions became even more unfavourable. They have however, all gained valuable experience here in Jerez.
In the European Talent Cup, Kiandra Ramadhipa continued his scintillating start to his ETC career in Race 1, finishing in P7. In Race 2 he managed to improve on that, ending a fierce contest in P6. Alfonsi Daquigan missed out on the two races by the narrowest of margins after failing to qualify in the Last Chance Race.
Junior Talent Team is already preparing for Round 3 of the FIM JuniorGP™ World Championship when they’ll look to build on a solid performance in Jerez at Circuit de Nevers Magny-Cours, a brand-new venue for the Championship. We’ll see you there on the 6th of July as the JTT looks to improve on what has been an excellent start to the 2025 campaign.
