Good prospects for the Asia Talent Team in Albacete

05 September 2015

Toba, Date and Norrodin all ready to fight for points in tomorrow’s Moto3™ Junior World Championship race.

With a more favourable weather forecast, the Asia Talent Team riders participated in two official Qualifying session, determining their grid positions for Sunday’s Moto3™ Junior World Championship round at the Circuito de Albacete, scheduled for 13:00 Local Time.

The newly remodelled Albacete was a brand new circuit for Kaito Toba, Yuta Date and Adam Norrodin who had never before raced at the track. Friday’s session were dedicated to learning the circuit and making the necessary adjustments for Qualifying today.

Unfortunately the first session did not start well for Toba who fell before the end of the first lap. Date also went down after completing ten laps. Both were able to repair their machines in time to finish the session, but with somewhat disappointing positions. In the second session, Date fell early at Turn 1, losing his chances of improving his times.

After the two Qualifying sessions, Kaito Toba will start tomorrow’s race from 16th after setting a best time of 1’36.363, 1.6 seconds from the pole time set by Aron Canet. Two positions behind is Yuta Date with a time of 1’36.458 while Adam Norrodin, unable to live up to his full potential, will start the race from 22nd (1’37.124).

The race will take place at 13:00 Local Time tomorrow and can be followed live via this link.
