Difficult Qualifying for Asia Talent Team in Aragon Heat

09 October 2022

With temperatures rising well above 40 degrees, the Asia Talent Team riders struggled during qualifying in the FIM CEV Repsol.

The fourth round of the Moto3™ Junior World Championship is taking place at MotorLand Aragon, with the two qualifying session taking place on Saturday.

With the temperature rising dramatically in the afternoon for the second qualifying session, it was clear that the times from the morning session would be all important. Unfortunately Adam Norrodin crashed on just his third lap, and Kaito Toba on his seventh, ruining any chances they had of posting a competitive time. Meanwhile Yuta Date managed to improve from his times in Friday’s practice by over 3 seconds, but had to settle for 15th on the grid. Toba will start from 16th and Norrodin 22th.

The team’s objective tomorrow is to have all three riders finishing within the points without crashing. There are two races on Sunday, the first at 11:00 and the next at 14:00, with both scheduled for 15 laps.
