The Indonesian star will charge from P12 on the grid as the JTT enjoys a successful qualifying in France
Round 3 of the FIM JuniorGP™ World Championship is in full swing as the Junior Talent Team (JTT) gets set for lights out at Circuit de Nevers Magny-Cours. There was plenty to talk about on Saturday afternoon, as qualifying showed some inspiring signs as the riders continued to adapt to this new venue.
Veda Pratama led the JTT charge, earning a spot directly to Q2 following a strong time set in Practice. Pratama worked hard in the opening stages of Q2, earning himself a great starting position for tomorrow’s sole JuniorGP Race – launching from P12. Kiattisak Singhapong was also on the pace, ending the day with a 1:45.498 to grab P22 on the grid, a solid starting point for the #85 in France.
Zen Mitani continued to gather further data, consistently improving his time before securing a spot on the eighth row. Mitani will start alongside Singhapong in P23 as he gets set to work hard on the opening laps. Meanwhile, Lucas Brown continued his adaptation to the technical Magny-Cours circuit, ending Q1 in ninth. This time has allowed the reigning British Talent Cup (BTC) champion to start from P28 on the grid.
There is just one JuniorGP race to enjoy on Sunday as we go lights out at 13:00 (UTC +2) in France!
Over in the European Talent Cup, it was a stunning qualifying from Kiandra Ramadhipa, with the former Idemitsu Asia Talent Cup (IATC) rider clinching P2 on the grid. The Indonesian clocked a 1:48.452 – leaping to the front row of the grid – showing impressive speed in his qualifying group.
It was a great qualifying for Ramadhipa, who is not the sole JTT rider lining up on the grid as Alfonsi Daquigan gears up for an exciting day of racing. Daquigan has qualified P24 on the ETC grid as he looks to build on his pace throughout Sunday.
The ETC field will have two important races to secure further points as Race 1 gets underway at 12:00 (UTC +2), followed by Race 2 at 15:00!
